The new Gourmet Majid cycle continues in 2025, with the evaluation committee visiting a new selection of candidates and again awarding one of the chefs visited.
On Wednesday, June 4, the award ceremony for the second edition of Gourmet Majid took place, with Chef Davide Cancellier, born in 1996, from Officina Gastronomica Automek, announced as the winner.
Davide distinguished himself with a delicate touch, an ability to enhance the product (often local), innovative pairings brought to the table, and skill in finishing dishes in front of the diner in the restaurant’s stunning open kitchen.
The prize consists of a 2,500 CHF check and a beautiful crystal plaque engraved with the inscription “Author’s cuisine that reveals the talent and creativity of the young Chef.”
