Fondazione Majid was established with the mission of supporting young people in turning their projects and aspirations into reality. Over the years, this commitment has also extended to music, including support for talented young musicians from the Conservatory.
This year, at a time of significant renewal for Ascona’s cultural scene, the Foundation has chosen to strengthen this commitment by supporting classicAscona, the new festival that carries forward the legacy of the historic Settimane Musicali after eighty years, under the artistic direction of Christoph Müller.
This collaboration has given rise to Costellazione Giovani, a project dedicated to emerging musical talents, created to provide young musicians with greater visibility and meaningful opportunities for artistic development.
As Fondazione Majid is deeply rooted in Ascona, supporting this new initiative is a natural step. We believe that investing in young musicians means investing in the future of music itself.
The festival will take place from 18 September to 10 October 2026, featuring concerts in the historic churches of Ascona and Locarno, as well as other venues throughout the Locarno region. These locations are not merely concert venues, but an essential part of the festival’s unique atmosphere, sound and artistic experience.
