Majid chose to renew its support for the Accademia Dimitri of SUPSI by financing four theater courses, each consisting of eight sessions, held in day centers and nursing homes in the Canton.
This project continues the work of the previous year’s “Stories of Life… in Movement, thanks to Theater” program, already supported by Majid.
In this new edition, two to four trainee theater facilitators, together with their coach, developed an intergenerational exchange process aimed at enhancing the life experiences of older generations through games and exercises that stimulate physical well-being, imagination, and creativity.
“Thanks to the support of the Majid Foundation, we were able to carry out a theater animation project in four nursing homes or day centers in Italian- and German-speaking Switzerland. This very enriching experience allowed us to pursue our goals of promoting the biographies—the “life stories”—of the senior citizens living in these facilities, thanks to the activities proposed by young graduates of the Accademia Dimitri. It was a valuable encounter between generations, focused on appreciation, well-being, and even fun, thanks to techniques and practices related to movement theater. And so we will continue in 2025!”
