MAJID FOUNDATION

A place where dreams find a home

Can dreams find a home? This is the ideal that Majid has pursued with generosity and dedication since 2018. The primary goal of the Majid Foundation, a non-profit organization, is to provide young people with the opportunity to see their dreams come true through its philanthropic work, firmly believing that they represent the hope for a brighter future.

The meaning of Majid

The word Majid (مجید) comes from the Arabic root ج و د (j-w-d) and signifies divine greatness and magnificence – the same brilliance that shines in the remarkable talent of the young individuals supported by the Foundation.

“The Foundation of Ideas” is what Majid aspires to be: a forge of youth ingenuity and creativity in all its forms, providing funding to support the dreams and talents of the younger generations.

Beyond financial support

A place of listening and welcome, Majid does not simply aim to provide financial assistance to help bring unique and original ideas to life, but also to recognize and honor the personal stories behind them. It offers its beneficiaries the attention and respect that is, unfortunately, often lacking in today’s society—a society that too often overlooks the immense potential carried by youth.

A springboard for talent

By listening with empathy and passion to the dreams that young people hope to realize, Majid aims to be a launching pad for youth talent across a wide range of human knowledge. Furthermore, through its many activities in collaboration with various local organizations, the Majid Foundation seeks to promote personal growth not only for the young people it supports, but also for all those who visit and take part in its regular initiatives.

“Walk on with hope in your heart, and you’ll never walk alone” — this is the motto that guides the Foundation, and it is precisely this hope that Majid strives to nurture in each and every one of us.

Since its inception in 2018, the Majid Foundation has supported 24 different projects ranging from science to music, from art to cuisine, in collaboration with a number of important national and international institutions.

Every project we support is an investment in human potential, capable of generating cultural, social and economic value. With your contribution, you can turn ideas into reality, give concrete opportunities to young talents and leave a legacy that speaks of vision, innovation and positive impact.

The voice of the protagonists

Thanks to the Majid Foundation, I was able to publish my books. For me, it was a dream come true! I have always wanted to write stories for children and adults and let them ‘immerse’ themselves in my adventures. Thanks to them, I was able to bring my books into schools and even hold an exhibition with my drawings and those of the children. It’s a fantastic experience! In the future, not too far off, I would like to do this as a real job—writing, illustrating stories and comics. It’s already a job, but it would be great to do just that as my profession.

The Majid Foundation allowed me to take my first steps into the world of research in cognitive neuroscience by supporting my doctoral project on long-term memory and forgetting at the University of Edinburgh. The Foundation’s support was also crucial for continuing my clinical training in Cambridge while pursuing my research on human memory. I will be forever grateful to the Majid Foundation for believing in my project at a crucial moment in my career.

I want to express my sincere gratitude to the Majid Foundation for the support provided. Thanks to your help, the United Soloists Orchestra was able to grow and establish itself as a point of reference for promoting local talents in Ticino. Your assistance was fundamental in developing innovative projects and carrying out cultural initiatives that gave a voice to young artists in our region. I am truly grateful for believing in our project and allowing us to achieve important milestones. We look to the future with enthusiasm, confident that this path of growth will continue to benefit the musical and cultural community of the area.
