We had the pleasure of hosting Prof. Rushen Shi, director of the Language Research Group at the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQÀM), for a captivating lecture on language development in the first months of life.
In her presentation titled The Miracle: How Humans Learn Language, Prof. Shi, a leading figure in early language development, guided us through the cognitive mechanisms that enable newborns to recognize and learn complex linguistic patterns — a true human “miracle”!
