Conservatory Scholarships 2024

As is now customary, Majid is happy once again this year to support some very deserving students from the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana (CSI). Specifically, this year the Foundation supports Marta Jornet, a Spanish flautist born in 1997 enrolled in the final year of the Master of Arts in Specialized “Soloist”, and her peer Moe Kitamura, a Japanese percussionist currently studying for a Master of Arts in Music Performance. The Foundation is pleased to provide support to enable these two brilliant young musicians to complete their training.

“My name is Marta Jornet, I am a flutist and I come from Spain. I am grateful to be able to express my sincere thanks to the Majid Foundation, whose generous support has been fundamental in enabling me to complete my studies at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana. Thanks to this help, I have been able to cover the expenses necessary to attend orchestra auditions in Europe, an opportunity that has proved crucial for my professional and artistic development. Throughout this time, the Majid Foundation has shown unconditional interest in my progress, not only academically, but also in my professional future. The trust they have placed in me has motivated me to continue with greater strength and determination. Thanks to them, I have been able to advance my career and get a little closer to my dreams. This kind of support is very important for musicians like me, who are building their careers in such a competitive world. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have a Foundation by my side that not only supports talent, but also believes in the power of music and people.”
