During the 2019–2020 period, the Majid Foundation continued to support the projects of Riccardo Sacripante and the Associazione Settimo Cielo, which had begun in 2018. However, due to the disruptions caused by the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, the realization of possible new initiatives was unfortunately compromised.
Despite this, with renewed vigor and generosity, in 2021 Majid was once again able to dedicate itself to supporting young people by granting funding to Tessa Tognetti, an enterprising young farmer who recently took over her family’s farm, turning it into a small business especially attentive to animal welfare and social inclusion. The La Colombera farm has chosen a different path than intensive industrial production, employing young people with disabilities to produce quality products that promote biodiversity and environmental sustainability.
The Foundation’s Board enthusiastically welcomed Tessa’s request for participation in the purchase of machinery for yogurt production, with the aim of promoting local activities such as La Colombera.
