Elvina Ganieva began studying piano in Russia and then continued her studies at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana (CSI). Within the Master of Advanced Studies in Music Performance and Interpretation offered by the Conservatory, Elvina decided to specialize in the particular musical sensibilities of Romanticism, under the expert guidance of Prof. Vovka Ashkenazy. A very gifted and determined scholar, this talented young classical pianist has won several international awards in piano competitions, giving her a top-level musical profile despite her young age.

However, the sudden onset of financial difficulties threatened the successful completion of her academic studies and the opportunity to benefit from the stimulating and formative environment of the Conservatory. Reflecting the esteem in which Elvina is held, the Conservatory itself, through its Philanthropy Office, referred her case to Majid — an appeal the Foundation gladly accepted, subsidizing the costs of the final semester of her studies, thus allowing Elvina to graduate in August 2023. During that year, she will also perform at Maison Majid.

“My name is Elvina Ganieva and I am a Majid Foundation scholarship recipient. Thanks to this scholarship, I was able to complete my MAS at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana. My goal in studying in Switzerland was to overcome my stage fright and improve my piano skills. I currently live in the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan, in the city of Ufa. In 2024, I played a concert in the great hall of the Ufa College of Arts, which I organized myself. Now I am continuing to develop my musical career and work on my projects. In 2025, I am planning my own solo concert in Switzerland with the support of the Majid Foundation. I sincerely thank the founders and all the staff of the Foundation for helping me realize my biggest dream in life.”
