During the 2024-25 academic year, the second recipient of the scholarship funded by the Majid Foundation for the Casa della sostenibilità at the Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) was selected.
This funding supported Stefano Gonzalez to develop a six-month scientific project at the facility, which serves as his Master’s thesis.
During the 2024/2025 spring semester, I had the opportunity to complete an internship at the Casa della Sostenibilità in Airolo and subsequently write my master’s thesis on the topic of sustainable development by analyzing the perceptions of USI students who participated in Alpine seminars. None of this would have been possible without the support of the Majid Foundation.
This experience allowed me to explore different realities, experiment with research methods, and enrich my academic and professional journey with a concrete and meaningful project.
