The Majid Foundation of Ascona is pleased to announce the important artistic project “INCONTRI” by Maestro Antonio Murgia (acclaimed international artist), which will take place from March 29 to May 29, 2025. Antonio Murgia is the pioneer who reinvented contemporary Italian Pop Art. His expressive and intense colors recall the Italian group of Pop artists who began embracing the values explored by American Pop Art, drastically changing their meaning: visual expressions of an economic boom, history and artistic heritage, cinema, and advertising. With his revolutionary technique, Antonio Murgia created a new iconographic reality. His monumental female faces, lost in space and background, have an irreversible impact on our subconscious. Sensual and intense lines of color create powerful female profiles that seem to unleash our deepest emotions.
