THE MAJID FOUNDATION INAUGURATES THE NEW EXHIBITION OF JOHANNES GENEMANS AND ANGELINO BALISTRERI.
Throughout September and October, the Majid Foundation is pleased to host the exhibition of Angelino Balistreri, preserving his memory and introducing his painting, accompanied by works of internationally renowned Dutch sculptor Johannes Genemans. After 30 years working as a designer in the Italian footwear industry, Maestro Genemans transferred his creative flair to sculpture, working with various materials since the early ’90s. Balistreri’s painting, on the other hand, contemplated imaginative structures drawn also from experiences beyond art, conducted in the spirit of a cosmopolitanism whose lasting effects are easy to perceive, spanning from the early ’70s until his passing.
