THE MAJID FOUNDATION INAUGURATES THE NEW EXHIBITION BY ARTIST ALEXANDRA VON BURG.
Alexandra von Burg, a painter known in Canton Ticino and beyond for her unique and original style, masterfully blending abstract and figurative elements. Titled “Spring Elixir,” the extensive exhibition features nearly seventy works in large, medium, and small formats, the fruit of her tireless and passionate research over the past two years. Central to this broad collection is the theme of Nature, a subject Alexandra von Burg has always explored but which now appears in a new light — more intimate and introspective.
This greater awareness was gained through the newfound freedom of these post-pandemic months, during which the artist chose to spend as much time as possible outdoors, enjoying long mountain walks (where she is fortunate to live), various nature-themed trips, and even an emotional pilgrimage in Tuscany.
Spiritual and aesthetic experiences that inevitably and almost necessarily found space and form on her canvases, guiding her brushstrokes to recreate the many impressions engraved in her mind and soul.
